Join ART INC in Healing Illinois!
Join ART INC for the ART of Healing: A Community Experience, an inspiring and thought-provoking event centered on storytelling, justice, and collective healing. This special gathering will feature a screening of the Emmy award-winning documentary Preschool to Prison, followed by a meaningful community dialogue. The film, directed and produced by Karen “Dr. K” Baptiste, explores the realities of the school-to-prison pipeline and its lasting impact on children, families, and communities. After the screening, attendees are invited to stay for a community talkback—creating space for reflection, conversation, and connection. This experience is part of the Healing Illinois initiative, aimed at fostering understanding, equity, and healing through the arts.
